1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Scrubly (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Scrubly is an online marketplace that connects customers seeking home cleaning services with independent professional cleaners. Scrubly does not employ cleaners directly; cleaners are self-employed independent contractors.

3. Customer Obligations

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when booking
  • Ensure the property is accessible at the agreed time
  • Treat all cleaners with respect and professionalism
  • Pay the agreed price for all completed services
  • Report any issues within 24 hours of service completion

4. Cleaner Obligations

As a cleaner, you agree to:

  • Complete all accepted jobs to a high professional standard
  • Arrive on time and communicate promptly
  • Maintain all required documents (right to work, DBS check)
  • Not solicit customers directly outside the Platform
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Payments

All payments are processed securely through the Platform. Scrubly retains a service fee from each booking. Cleaners are paid weekly by bank transfer for all completed jobs. Customers are charged at the time of booking confirmation.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled service are fully refunded. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booking value. No-shows are charged in full.

7. Liability

Scrubly facilitates bookings but is not liable for the quality of work performed by independent cleaners. However, we maintain a dispute resolution process and a satisfaction guarantee programme. All cleaners working through the Platform are covered by public liability insurance.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
